Wanting to do a special mobile cover for BF´s new phone and since he likes soccer, I thought a little soccer player would be the best cover. My mind went on a brainstorm, nice idea but how should I make it. It all startet with a sketch .....
Þegar maðurinn minn fékk sér nýjan síma og vantaði eitthvað til að hlífa honum (hann missir sinn ansi oft nefnilega ;)) þá hugsaði mín til ráða og lét hekluhugmyndirnar á stað. Þar sem hann er sjálfur fótboltastrákur varð úr að ég vildi útbúa minni útgáfu af fótboltastrák ... allt byrjaði með þessari skissu ...
[Ég afsaka lélega hekluíslensku, en ég veit bara ekkert hvað réttu orðin eru alltaf í hekli á íslensku. Er voða amerísk hvað hekl varðar ;) Þar sem ég kenndi mér að hekla upp á nýtt í gegnum margar youtube síður og enskar bloggsíður]
Then lets start :) Þá bara að byrja :)
This is my own creation and sorta making by doing, so there is no specific pattern to follow, but I will try to explain how I startet etc. in this post. If you want to do anything similar og need help, feel free to contact me.
It is merely to give you some ideas to create something from the scratch yourself rather than a perfect pattern. But if you do something similar please let me know and link me back and provide a link in my comments :)
Þetta er mín eigin hugmynd og hönnun, og eru myndirnar og leiðbeiningarnar hér fyrir neðan, frekar til að styðjast við og sjá hvaða leið ég fór. Um að gera að nota sitt eigið ímyndunarafl og hanna sitt eigið. Ef þú gerir eitthvað svipað eða þetta hér, endilega látið mig vita og ekki gleyma að linka mig til baka og senda mér link á ykkar póst. I made a chain of 15 - 16 loops, around the width of the phone, don't make it too long or your sleeve will be too big and the phone will drop out easily.
Gera keðju með 15 -16 loftlykkjum , ca. breiddina á símanum, mikilvægt að hafa það ekki of stórt, því annars dettur síminn of auðveldlega úr hylkinu og þá er nú lítil vörn í henni.
In each loop do a sc on both sides of chain, close off with a slip stitch and do a dc in the next row all the way around. Followed by sc in each row. Change colours for each part of the outfit. Like the first colours are the shoes, then legs etc. It's good to have the phone nearby for fitting, to see if it is too loose or too tight, too short or too long.
Fasta möskur gerðar í hverja lykkju á báðum hliðum og lokað. Næsta umferð eru svo stuðlar, þessum hring líka lokað, síðan eru gerðar fastamöskur í mismunandi litum alla leið upp. Fínt að máta símann annað slagið svo maður finni út hvað þetta þarf að vera langt eða þröngt.
After few rows and colour changes you are at the neck area. The hair and face are worked back and forth. Starting with the hair. Always be sure to close of each row, or you will get an ugly stair pattern.
Eftir nokkrar umferðir og litaskipti fer að koma mynd á strákinn. Heklað í hring upp að hálsi. Hár og andlit er svo gert fram og til baka. Ekki gleyma að loka hverjum hring, annars kemur litamunstrið svo ljótt út.
Then it's time to make the detail work. Crochet the arms, scarf and ball. Embroid the rest. I made a K in the front since that is my BF´s first letter :) on the back I sew in a small heart. As well as the black on the ball ist done with a needle.
Nú er kominn tími á dúlludótið. Ég heklaði hendurnar, sjalið og boltann og saumaði svo á, sem og sluffuna og K-ið framan á, þar sem það er fyrsti bókstafurinn í nafni stráksins míns ;) Aftan á er svo lítið hjarta ;)
Making of Arms with sleeves and soccer ball - Gerð handa með ermum og fótbolta
If you look closely you can see that the sleeves are actual sleves and the arm is hanging out. To make the sleeves start with a chain of 5 and form a ring (or do a magic ring), 5 sc in ring and sl st. Then crocheting sc in each chain round and a round, always closing the rows before starting with the next one. Do this until you have about 2cm long piece. Do this twice, cause the lill guy does need two arms ;) Then make a chain of 10 loops or as long as you want your arms to be, notice that the arms will go inside the sleeve so count that in. Do in second loop from hook a sc and all the way down to get a more chubby looking arm. Then tuck the ends inside the sleeve and sew to the body. Do this for both sides.
Ef þú skoðar myndina vel sérðu kanski að ermarnar eru alvöru ermar med litlum handleggi inn í alla leið að búknum. Til að útbúa það, gerir maður ermina fyrst. Gerðu hring eða "magic ring". 5 keðjur mynda hring og síðan eru fasta möskur allan hringin gerðar þar til ermin er orðin nógu löng. Þá slær maður upp á um 10 loftlykkjur og heklar í þær fasta möskur alla leið og festir að lokum innan í ermina og við búkinn. Síðan allt saumað fast og þetta gert tvisvar náttúrulega svo drengurinn hafi tvo handleggi :)
The Ball - Boltinn
Magic ring is the key. Sc 8 in the loop and tighten together, then in each chain 2 sc so the next row has 16 and the third row 32 chains. then sc in each loop about 2 rows, or untill you like the size of your ball. Then fasten on the right foot and with a needle and black yarn embroid the black in the ball.
8 fasta möskur gerðar í magic ring. Næsta umferð 16 svo 32 síðan 1 í hverja lykkju þar til boltinn er orðinn nógu stór. Saumað á og í það svarta í honum.
The Scarf is easy to make - make 3 chains that fit around the neck and tighten, I did fasten them a little with a needle so they wouldn't blow off in the next storm ;)
Trefillinn er auðvelt að gera, eru bara 3 keðjur í mismunandi blátónum sem eru svo bundnar utan um hálsinn á honum svo honum verði ekki kalt og fest með nál og tvinna svo hann fjúki ekki burtu :)
