Snjókornadraumar - Snowflake Dreams

Ég er kanski ekki farin að dreyma snjókorn ennþá, en það er samt alltaf bak við eyrað. Mér áskotnaðist lítill viðarkistill með svo fallegu mótífi á lokinu. Ég hugsaði strax að þetta væri nú fallegt sem snjókorn líka. Ég hef aldrei áður "hannað" snjókorn, en það var mjög skemmtilegt að gera. Ég reyndi að ná fram myndinni á kistlinum að bestu. Þetta gekk furðu vel og fljótt fyrir sig. Ég hef verið mun lengur að skilja uppskriftir af öðrum snjókornum og teikna þau upp en þetta. Frumraun mín í snjókornahönnun ;) hihi. Hvernig líst ykkur á?

Woollen Thoughts facebooksíðan mín er komin með yfir 400 like á svona líka stuttum tíma. Þetta er ótrúlegt, þið eruð ótrúleg :) Hjartans ástar þakkir.

Ich denke dauernd an Schneeflocken, oder besser gesagt ich sehe die zur Zeit überall ;) naja ist auch Weihnachtszeit. Aber als ich den Deckel von dieser kleinen Holzbox gesehen habe, musste ich sofort an Schneeflocken denken. Ich dachte mir, hmmmm... ob es so schwer wäre, daraus eine gehäkelte Schneeflocke zu machen? Eigentlich ging es relativ schnell, schneller als so viele Häkelmuster für Schneeflocken, die ich bisjetzt gemacht habe. Wie findet ihr meine erste selbst entworfene Schneeflocke? Bin ich jetzt Schneeflockendesigner hihi ;) 

I am always thinking about snowflakes, everywhere I go, or for that, of crochet ;) Can I make this in Crochet? Hmmm this woodenbox is pretty, the embelishment on the top looks like a snowflake, if I could make one like that in crochet ;) And so this little flake was "born". I am a born designer you know ;) I think I was faster in making and drawing up this pattern of mine than I have been trying to understand other peoples written patterns of snowflakes. It was really fun to do. I hope you like it. As always you get a hand drawn diagramm as well. Have fun in Snowflake Dreamland.

Owl mobile phone cozy

Owls are told to be the smartest birds. The latest generations of mobile phones are also called smartphones. So this combination is perfect. The smart owl protects the smart phone ;)

I did this for my sisters smartphone who loves owls for christmas, so it was a suprise and therefor not posted earlier on this blog, as well as due to some technical issues. 

You might say the phone is the brain of this owl, cause when out it does look kinda goofy but when closed it has a total different character look. 

The wings on the side, make extra protection to the sides of the phone, since they tend to follow Newtons law of gravity and fall pretty often

Emil das Erdmännchen iphone cozy

Hallo ich bin Emil das Erdmännchen

Hello my name is Emil and I´m a Meerkat, but not just any meerkat, but Franzi´s meerkat and I keep her phone save ;)

This project was startet a bit by thinking "challenge accepted" as my coworker Franzi kinda henced that a meerkat iphone cozy could be pretty cool. So I thought alot about how to make out of  this (points down at the picture) a phone cozy.

I didn´t find any meerkat phone sleeves online, but I knew it would have to have a bit scary staring eyes, a big nose and a tail ofcourse so it could stand and keep watch over Franzi´s phone. So this is pure own design I came up with after a quick drawing. I later skipped having hair on his head, since it would not look good with time, and added the darker boarder as you can see on the picture.

I do think though, that the most that sees it will think it´s some kind of dog or a rat. But she loves it and that is what matters.

Here you can see it´s big nose and the soft smile on his face carrying a flower for Franzi. 

Added to the tail on the back side, there is a tiny heart sewed on

Emil likes to relax and take it easy, here he is in his birthplace, the yarn basket

And he loves to be in all kind of pockets as well

It was a fun project to do, thanks for the inspiration / challenge

My First Granny Square - Fyrsta Dúllan min :)

Fyrsta dúllan mín :) eftir að hafa horft vel á öll kennslumyndböndin og prufað og rekið upp, tókst mér að gera flotta miðdúllu og hélt svo bara áfram, þó með öðru garni, innsta garnið er eilítið fínna en hin. Ef mér tókst þetta tekst ykkur þetta líka :) Mikilvægt er að horfa vel á myndböndin og reyna svo á meðan það er í gangi og ýta bara á pásu. Sum sína þetta mjög hægt og flott, þannig þá er engin þörf fyrir pásuna :)

With alot of trials and errors, I finally did it, with help of all those lovely video tutorials I have postet on the blog. I didn´t use the same yarn though for the middle, I didn´t think it would work out ;) but yay :) Now I can start of with granny squares for my granny square bag and maybe a rug too :)

Ich hab es geschafft :) Dies ist meine erste granny square oder oma viereck (wie nennt man das überhaupt auf deutsch?) Nach dem ich viele Videos geguckt habe, und öfters versucht habe die Mitte richtig hinzubekommen, hab ich es endlich geschafft und dann gab es kein Halt mehr und ich hab eine neue Farbe geholt und weiter gemacht. Die mitte ist aber aus feinerem faden gemacht als der rest.
