Gleðilega páska - Frohe Ostern - Happy Easter

Gleðilega Páska
Frohe Ostern
Happy Easter

Happy Easter, I hope you have a relaxing and fun easter with alot of crocheting or knitting. If you want to wip up this little fellow, klick the link to  ami amour . I only changed the wings a little, ´cause this way I thought he looks more huggable, like he is running on his little feeets to give you one big easter huggy.

Runder Teppich - Crochet Doily Rug

The pattern for this Doily rug ist from this german special edition crochet in spring magazin, it´s a diagramm pattern, so you don´t really need to know german to understand it. It can be orderd over OZ Homepage

The Doily rug can be seen in the lowest right corner in blue

Looking at the latest magazins I spotted this colourfull one, and after a few pages I knew I would need to buy it, if not only for the pattern of this doily rug. But there are alot of different other patterns in it I will probably crochet as well too, so it was a good investion. The rug would be perfect for my new flat (yes that´s the reason why I haven´t been blogging much lately, moving and waiting for an internetconnection takes up alot of time)

It´s suppose to be done using a crochet hook size 12mm and a much thicker yarn. Instead I used a Katia - Cotton Cord  (100% Cotton) and a hook size 6.5mm.  I used a little more than 6 skeins of the yarn, with 55 yards each.

Innerhalb von 3 Tagen war der Teppich fertig. Der Durchmesser ist etwa 80cm

It turned out great and within 3 days my not so little doily rug was finished (80cm in Diameter).

Wie schnell es wächst
How fast it grows

Er wächst und wächst mit jedem Knoll
With each skein it grows a little more.
The Numbers indicate the progress after the 1st, 2nd, 3d and 4th skein is used up

Mia hat gut mitgeholfen
Mia my cat took good care of it, when I was on a break. She knows it is "hers" ;)

Ugludúkka fyrir Kisa - Crochet Tiny Owl Kitty Toy

Lítil ugludúkka fyllt með polyester og lítillri bjöllu.
Gerð fyrir kisustrákinn hann Loka á Íslandi
Tiny owl amigurumi with a bell inside
Made for my biggest fan, Loki the Cat in Iceland

Blikk Blikk segir litla uglan
;-) ;-)

Loki að borða með ugluna sína við hliðina á disknum sínum
Loki never leaves his new little owly friend out of sight, not even when having a snack ;-)

It´s so great to see how much Loki my sisters cat loves everything his aunty in Germany makes for him. He takes his little owl buddy with him everywhere he goes and cuddles with it at night. Maybe he smells his aunt Mia, but she knew this was for uncle Loki in Iceland and didn't even try to steal it, just watched it with her pretty yellow eyes.

For the main body I leaned to this pattern here on squidoo, but the rest is made up on the way. Stuffed with polyester and a small bell. This boy was ready to fly over the atlantic ocean, where it now lives and is taken very good care of by Loki, the cat.

TP Owly

Meet your new friend in the bathroom - the TP Owly

Source: babble.com
You will never have to worry about this happening again
with your new little friend in need, the TP Owly.

The pattern is from Soapy Sue and is just too cute for not to crochet. It´s a fast crochet project if you don't count the sewing part ;) The pattern has alot of pictures and is easy to follow for all levels of crocheters.

Changes made to original pattern: I used the pattern for the body, wings and eyes. The wings are probably the most  tricky part of the pattern though. The beak I did differently and the placement of the faceparts as well. On the feets, I skipped crocheting a row of chains first, but instead crocheted them directly to the last row of the body.
