and for the cold days of autumn a coat and a scarf

After her morning coffe it was time to go to the art studio

where she painted and painted with brushes and feathers

More stories about Mini Mimi and her fella are coming up very soon. If you follow me on Instagram you might already know ;)

But that was it for now. The basic pattern for this girl and her fellow are slightly adjusted from the pattern by Isabelle Kessedjian - my crochet doll, the clothes beside the shoes are my own design. The polaroids I got from my sister Mimi, all other pictures are taken by me.

It's been a while since my last blog post was written but I do hope you will see more of me now and not only on facebook or instagram but here as well. Today in english, but you can leave me comments in german and icelandic too ofcourse. The summer is nearly over, I hope you had a good one, the autumn with all it's colors will soon be here, I love sunny pretty autumn days and  I leave you here today with a lovely autumn picture from Thingvellir in Iceland.

The Circus is in Town - Vote now

This year I am participating with 4 designs this year amigurumi contest, the theme for this year was circus. I had so many ideas and couldn´t pick one so in the end I had four designs for this years contest. There are over 200 designs and it will be very hard to pick out the five best, I do hope you pick at least one from mine :)

First off I would like to introduce you to my twins Luke and Lina. They where born walking on lines and swinging high up in the air, no fear of hights there. 

Lina the ballerina and line dancer, has added a swirled ball to her line and an umbrella to help with the balance. Isn´t she sweet?

Jamie the jongleur, is a very gifted circus bear who loves to be part of the circus crew

and last but not least Clooney the Clumsy Clown, who really needs some lessons from Jamie

Happy Häkeln - Treffpunkt Teich zum Wettschwimmen

Aus dem Buch / Buchlein Happy Häkeln von OZ Verlag habe ich fünf Figruen häkeln dürfen. 

Das Buch ist klein und basieren die meisten Figuren drin auf einer Grundanleitung. So wie bei dem Küken und seinem Freund dem Frosch unter Treffpunkt Teich im Buch zu finden. Auch habe ich die beiden Fische aus dem Buch gehäkelt, die unter Wettschwimmen zu finden sind.

Als letzes war es die Blühende Schönheit hier unten Mittig im Bild zu sehen. 

Die kleinen Kreaturen sind ideal als Schlüsselanhänger, mit einem Glöckchen drin gut geeignet als Kinderrasseln  oder als Katzenspielzeug.  

Neben diesen süßen Figuren gibt es auch viele andere im Buch. 

Das Buch ist auch für Anfänger gut geeignet.

Leynihekl af þýskri facebook síðu - Mystery CAL from a german facebook page

Dieser feine Kerl stammt aus einem Mystery CAL der Facebookgruppe der kreativen Süchtigen. Jede Woche kam ein Hinweis und ohne es fast zu merken waren alle Teile gehäkelt. Es war eine sehr angenehme CAL. Ich habe meins ganz in weiß gehäkelt und es passt, da in Island die Lämmer auch meistens ganz weiß sind.

Währen des CALs konnte man immer die Zwischenstände posten, das mag ich sehr, weil dann man mit dem Einzelteilen Spielen kann und auch die von anderen sehen kann, wenn es etwa die gleiche Form hat, weiß man, dass man auf den richtigen Weg ist. Andere CALs halten alles geheim, bis man alles fertigstellen soll und Bild veröffentlichen darf. Manchmal ist das ganz schwer, wenn die Anleitungen in Kauderwelsch erklären wie man was zusammennähen soll, wo es so einfach wäre das mit Bildern zu erklären, aber naja jede CAL ist anders, und wer einmal an einer CAL teilgenommen hat, wird süchtig. Also aufpassen ;)

Ihr seit immer noch nicht überzeugt das so eine mystery CAL spaß macht? Dann werde ich euch mal zeigen wie spannend es war zu sehen was da in meinem Blumentopf gewachsen ist. Auf dem nächsten Bild entspricht jedes Bild dem Status nach jeder Woche. Wie es dann am Ende ausgesehen hat wisst ihr ja mittlerweile schon. 

Jetzt noch ein Bild nach dem mein Lammy seine Hütte verschönert hat mit bunten Eiern und sich mit einem Kleeblatt geschmückt hat. Das Kleeblatt ist etwas anders als in der Anleitung, als auch das Gesicht habe ich anders Daraufgenäht bzw. die Augen gehäkelt und dann befestigt. 

Es ist immer schön zu sehen was für unterschiedliche Figuren man bekommen kann mit der gleichen Anleitung und leichten Abwandlungen um eine persönliche Note zu bekommen.

Papa Theodore and Mama Rosalie are proud to announce that Papa Theodore will be the new mare of Salmon Bay. Sadly they didn't win the Amigurumi Design Contest, but maybe next time. 

I am happy that because of the contest this little family was born and I am sure we will see more of them in the future, esp. now when Theodore is Mare of Salmon Bay.

I thank the people that gave their vote. I was planing on making something special like a give away for my readers and vote giver if I would make the top three. I got place 62 of 122 participants with 55 votes. Wich isn't that bad I guess. But it was so much fun designing this, and there for I am certainly going to design more for the future.

Teddy Family - Amigurumi Design Contest - Parent and animals

Family Bear from Salmon Bay. Papa Theodore, Mama Rosalie and their two little ones Jamie and Peggy. Papa Theodore owns a Salmon Company at Salmon Bay and is campaigning for Mare these days and needs your Vote :)

Rosalie loves to crochet, while Theodore likes a cup of hot tee with homemade honey while reading his paper. The Daily forest news is his favorite paper, and in this edition because of the upcoming campaign there is a lot about family bear in it as well as the contest. 

Do you like my little family? I am participating for the first time in an amigurumi design contest, held by Amigurumipatternsnet, the theme for this contest was parent and baby animals.  This is the first time I am making my own amigurumi pattern from sketch to finished product. I used to draw teddies like this as a child and that was my inspiration. I loved participating in this contest, but like everyone that participates I would love to win too ;) It is a voting, so I am hoping for your vote. If I win, I will spread my joy by making something special for you to win as well. I have many ideas I am working on, but first I need to win ;)

My Doctor

A Doctor a day, keeps the apples away

I made this little helper Doctor for my BF so that he could take some workload of him and send him sooner home to rest. Doctors need rest too, so they can give their patients the best medical care.

Can you guess his specialty?

I used the great book from Allison Hoffmann - Amigurume to create this doppelgänger. The lab coat was a little adjustment to her blazer pattern.

Das neue Jahr fängt spannend an, meine kleine Teddy Bär Familie nimmt an einer Wettbewerb Teil und wird eure Stimme brauchen.

Im Zeitraum von 3.-10. Januar kann gewählt werden.

Doctor Who

Trust me, I´m the doctor

I started watching doctor who for real when the eleventh doctor regenerated, his brand marks is his red bow tie and a fez. As I found this crochet pattern by Allison Hoffmann I knew I had to make one and bought her pattern over ravelry and later her great book Amigurume. There are some other patterns out there for the doctor but hers is the best.

Here he is in all his glory somewhere in space and time

Since my doctor misplaced his TARDIS his first journey with his new companion (me) was by train. He started here at the Trainstation in Solingen Germany

Soon he found out how long a trainride can be, but he sat back relaxed and had some fishfingers with custard and a hot cup of tea while enjoying the view on his first of many journeys of his regenerated crochet life.
